Quick Update: Festival Beauty.

Hello all!

Just to let you all know, in a few weeks time I'll be attending Download Festival for the 4th year!

Over the next few weeks I'll be putting together things to take to the festival, and that of course will include beauty products! I'll be showing you what I've bought and asking for your advice.

So, I'd like to know: would you be interested in seeing posts related to festival beauty and toiletries?

Just let me know! xx

Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review

Hello everyone! As promised heres my review of Revlon's ColorStay foundation:

So, I've been using this for a few weeks now and I can't say that its worth raving about or slating. Revlon Colorstay is quite simply just a good foundation.

At £12.49, its pretty pricey for a high-street foundation, but many people compare it to MAC etc, so its cheap compared to £19.50 for a bottle of MAC's Studio Fix.

I bought this foundation in Boots, and was colour matched to the shade Sand Beige for combination/oily skin. Revlon ColorStay comes in two types, one for dry skin and one for oily! I probably would have picked a lighter colour for myself if there hadn't been an assistant there, but I'd say shes matched me pretty well.

It claims to have 24 hour wear, but this is a blatant lie - no foundation has 24 hour wear!

I'd say it lasts a good few hours on my very oily skin, but it does start to slide after a while. It has a lovely matt finish and is a medium buildable coverage. It also oxidizes, so after a few hours I start looking a little orange.

I'd hoped this would be the foundation for me, I'd heard so many good things. But sadly, it just wasn't the miracle product I was hoping it would be. Overall, I'd say its a great foundation for anyone with slightly oily skin, but for those whose faces are like an oil spill, it just doesn't live up to its hype.

Hope you enjoyed this post, have you tried Revlon ColorStay, what do you think? xx

NOTD: Turquoise Glitter

I've never been a big fan of blue/green nails. But I love this colour!

I used two W7 polishes, neither of which have a name, but for the base coat I used a lovely dark teal, and then topped it with a turquoise glitter!

Hope you liked this post! What nail polish have you been wearing this week? xx

Haul 21/04/2012

Went a wee shopping trip with my Mama and picked up a few things I've had my eye on.

First off I found the shampoo that goes with the big 1L bottles of conditioner I bought the other week, yay! I paid more for it than I did with the conditioner, but ack well. Found it in TK MAXX.

Great Hair Anti Frizz Shampoo - £3.99

I then went into Boots and picked up 2 more Models Own Polishes as they were 2 for £8. I picked up Mystic Mauve, a gorgeous metallic pink/lilac, and Pink Fizz, a baby pink glitter.

Models Own Nail Varnish in Mystic Mauve - £5.
Models Own Nail Varnish in Pink Fizz - £5.

Next up was a trip to M.A.C! I'd had my eye on the Nicki Minaj Viva Glam, but seeing it in real life it was far too bright and neon for my skintone. So instead I settled for another colour I'd fancied, Hang-Up. Its a deep berry red with purple tones, and its my first Creamsheen from M.A.C!

Finally, I got some bracelets! I got 2 'Saints' bracelets at £2.99 each in pink and purple, and a Shamballa skull bracelet at £3.99, they're all so pretty!

I also got a few bits and pieces for when I go to Download Festival in June, but if I do any festival posts (would you like to see any?) then I'll show you!

Hope you enjoyed this! xx
