Today I want to share a really great bargain with you all. As a rule, I don't get on well with cheap foundations. I find them cakey, with poor coverage and terrible lasting time. Until now.
W7 Photoshoot 16 Hour Budge Proof Foundation - £2.99
Thats right, £2.99! I'm sure you all know W7 is a fairly cheap brand sold in bargain basement shops, but I've never had a complaint about any product of theirs. This foundation looks way more expensive than £2.99, with the frosted glass bottle and sleek black writing. I bought mine in my local Watt Brothers, but you can find W7 in various shops and online.
The foundation itself is fab. It has medium/full coverage and applies like a dream using my Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush. It does have a slightly dewy finish but that's easily corrected with a bit of powder! (if you like a matte look like me). It definitely doesn't last 16 hours on oily skin, but thats to be expected.
I have the shade Natural Beige which is a good match, but next time (theres a next time!) I'll probably get the shade lighter, as I feel Natural Beige is a teeny tiny smidge too dark for me. But overall I totally love this foundation and for £2.99 you really can't go wrong!

Looks like a great find - would love to see some pictures of this on.

Thanks! I'll definitely include it in a FOTD or something similar soon :) xx
DeleteI am quite impressed with W7 as a brand so far! Especially their Benefit dupes =)) xx

Same here! I haven't tried the box powders yet but they look really good! :) xx

ReplyDeleteI love W7 blusher in Angel, it's my favourite ever! This looks really good but it would probably be too dark for me, even the lightest shade, i'm a Casper haha

I'll need to keep an eye out for it! This was about 3-4 shades into the range, so you might find they have something pale enough! I'm sure they had some 'porcelain' shades but there was no way of swatching them :( xx
DeleteWhat's your skin type? Wonder how it would work on combo skin like mines. I have a very oily nose and dryness elsewhere

I'd say I'm quite oily but I have some dry patches on my cheeks. It didn't cling to the dry patches at all and although the wear time wasn't amazing with my oilyness, it was a lot better than some more expensive foundations I've tried! :) xx
