I'm just going to dive right in here and say that this is the best BB cream I've ever used. Rimmel BB Cream Matte is one of those products that occasionally slips onto the shelves of Boots and Superdrug unnoticed, with no advertising and very little blogger attention. However anything with the word 'matte' printed on it grabs my attention every time, so I had to pick it up to try it. 

Rimmel BB Cream Matte claims to do 9 different things in one formula; minimise the appearance of pores even skin tone, mattify, control shine all day, smooth, soothe, conceal dark circles, help prevent blemishes and give all day coverage. It also has an SPF of 15.

The thing I love about this is that although this is a matte product, my skin still has a nice glow and it doesn't cling to dry patches the way most matte foundations do. It's definitely a fuller coverage, which is surprising for a BB cream but something I really like. The bottle may look similar to the recently launched Stay Matte Mousse foundation but this is a thick liquid formula. The stay time is also really good for this BB cream and it lasted a few hours on me before fading.

I got the shade 'Light' which is a good match for my NW20 skin. The only downside to this product is that it only comes in 'Light' and 'Medium' so both really pale and darker skinned complexions don't have an option here! Otherwise, this is so far my favourite BB Cream and favourite base product from Rimmel! It's also very reasonably priced at £6.99 for 30ml and the packaging is nice and simple. If you have oily skin and a light-medium skin tone, I'd definitely check this out!
