YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain | #9 Rouge Laque

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in #9 Rouge Laque: £23.50 (£14.10) from Debenhams -

My second YSL Glossy Stain purchase was not pre-planned, I spotted this for £14.10 in the Debenhams sale and snapped it up! #9 Rouge Laque is a true red shade, which on first application verges on 'tomato' but after a second coat turns into the perfect bright red.

I absolutely love these stains. They take two coats for totally opaque coverage, but the pigmentation and wear time are incredible, and they aren't at all sticky. It won't last through a whole night of eating and drinking, but the point of these is that they leave a gorgeous stain on the lips! I'm not a gloss fan at all but these have to be my all time favourite. You get quite a precise application from the pointed wand and it doesn't distribute too much product. You might have to dip into the tube a couple of times to coat the lips twice, but I'd rather that than an overload.

I would never have picked #9 Rouge Laque unless it was in the sale, but I'm glad I did, it's gorgeous! I'd highly recommend these to anyone and they're definitely worth the hefty price tag of £23.50 if you're looking for a little luxury. I can't wait to try the new Rebel Nudes collection and also compare these to the L'oreal dupe which I haven't tried yet!

NYC | Applelicious Glossy Lip Balms

Hello all, sorry for the long gap between posts, yet again! I've been so busy with Bailey and Uni stuff I've barely had time to sit down and think, never mind write anything! But I've got a few things lined up, and today I'm going to show y'all the new Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm's from NYC:

They come in these simple but cute red shimmery tubes, with a clear lid, so you can see whats inside. Theres a definite 'Revlon lip butter' influence going on, but its really a different animal.

I got two shades, Blushing Golden and Caramel Apple:

Blushing Golden, Caramel Apple.
They have a really lovely balm centre shaped like an apple! So cute. They have a mouthwatering fresh apple scent, and 'd say they're also quite moisturising.

Caramel Apple is a lovely nude shimmer, it really just comes off on the lips as shimmer. Blushing Golden isn't as nice, it gives your lips that horrible frosted look if you over apply, so beware! I wish I had bought one of the pink or red shades instead.

These retail at £2.49 each, bargain! They're available from Superdrug and are currently on 3for2! I definitely think I'll be going back for some of the other shades.
