Benefit | High Flyin' Glosses

This beautiful Benefit High Flyin' Glosses set was a late Christmas present from my cousin and his lovely girlfriend!

I would never have picked this set up as I'm not a fan of tube lip glosses, but now I have these I'm so glad I do. They're so cute! The set contains six mini lip glosses which correspond to the box powders that Benefit also sell. For mini's these are a good size and contain 6.5ml of product each.

The set contains six colours, Coralista, Dallas, Bella Bamba, Hoola, Sugarbomb and Dandelion!

Coralista, Dallas, Bella Bamba

Hoola, Sugarbomb, Dandelion

Coralista is a sheer coral (duh!) with no shimmer, Dallas is a more opaque pinky brown with no shimmer, and Bella Bamba is a sheer bright pink with coral undertones. Hoola is a nude with golden shimmer, Sugarbomb is a dusky pink with gold/silver shimmer and Dandelion is a pale peach with golden shimmer.

All the glosses went on really smoothly and weren't sticky in the slightest, brilliant news! I'm not sure if you can get this set any more but Benefit sell the full sized version of these glosses at £13.50 each, online and at their counters.

More Illamasqua! Sale Haul

Hello my lovelies! I'm sure most of you know about Illamasquas huge summer sale, which ended on Tuesday. I already purchased a concealer and foundation earlier in July, but I made another ordered which included another concealer, and the two items I'm going to show you today, a lipstick and lipgloss!

Illamasqua Lipstick in Fetish: £5.00 (normally £15.50)
Illamasqua Sheer Lipgloss in Tantrum: £7.50 (normally £13.00)

The packaging is lovely. Some people have complained and said Illamasqua packaging is cheap plastic, but I don't think so! The lipstick comes in a sleek square black case, and the lipgloss in a see through squeezy tube with a flat applicator. I'm not sure if this will continue to be the packaging of Illamasqua glosses as on their website the Intense lipglosses have now changed to a square packaging with a brush applicator, but the Sheer glosses remain in the squeezy tube.

Tantrum is a gorgeous shimmery dark purple pink. It looks amazing in the tube and is lovely on the lips too. It is a sheer lipgloss, so doesn't apply just as dark as in the tube, but still leaves lots of colour on the lips. Its not sticky or tacky at all.

Fetish is a dark matte purple, a little darker than in the picture. Truthfully, it doesn't apply well, it can be a little patchy, the formulation is quite dry! However, with a decent lip liner underneath or a gloss on top, its beautiful.

Tantrum and Fetish are great together, and create a lovely berry lip.

I'm really pleased with my first lip products from Illamasqua. I've heard that Fetish is their most dificult to apply, so I'm not worried about purchasing another lipstick from them as the colours are amazing!

Hope you enjoyed this post! :) xx

MUA Lip Boom Review

Hello all! This week  I picked up two of the Alexandra Burke for MUA Lip Boom 4in1 lipstick/glosses, and I thought I'd do a quick review!

I got two shades, LMK and OK.COM, both priced at £3.00, and Superdrug have a 2 for £4 offer on at the moment. LMK is a gorgeous dark wine coloured lipstick, with a corresponding dark pink and silver glittery highlighting gloss. OK.COM is a lovely nude lipstick with a peachy highlight gloss with gold glitter. I had orginally wanted the shade OMG, but it was sold out but oh well!

The product can be worn in 4 ways; wear the lipstick by itself, wear the lipstick with the highlighting gloss in the centre of the lips for a fuller look, lipstick with the highlighting gloss all over, or wear the gloss alone!

I think they're a really clever idea, and although the colour range isn't great there are a few to choose from! I'm really going to enjoy having a play about with these!

I hope you enjoyed this post, what do you think about the Lip Boom's? xx

March Favourites 2012

Here are my March favourites, products I've been using lots and loving this month.

Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro Primer -£6.99
I love this for a decent priced, high-street primer, its great! It does have silicone in it - an important ingredient in primers, but it doesn't feel like a heavy layer on your face. Its really smooth and helps my foundation stay on much much longer than it normally would.

NARS Illuminator in Super Orgasm - £21.00
I wasn't sure about this product at first but now I love it! I've yet to use it all over my face mixed in with foundation, its far too glittery! But I love it as a highlighter at the top of my cheeks.

Benefit Glossytown Lipgoss Set - £19.50
Got this as a Christmas set, and its lovely, there are six mini lipglosses and all the colours are gorgeous, some more than others. Its allowed me to find some really stunning colours that I probably wouldn't even have looked at otherwise!

Hope you enjoyed this! What are your March favourites? xx
