Wednesday Wishlist | #4

MAC 217 and 168 brushes: £17.00 and £26.00 via MAC - I've only owned a mini brush set from MAC, but I've heard so many good things about these two brushes, especially the 217.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish: £21.00 via MAC - This is still on my wishlist! I always seem to find something else to buy, but I will get it one day.

NARS Copacabana Illuminator and Multiple: £23.00 and £29.00 via NARS - Copacabana is a gorgeous highlighter from NARS, that comes in both liquid and stick form!

NARS 'And God Created Woman' palette: £41.50 via NARS - A beautiful neutrals palette that comes with a mini brush and eyeshadow primer. I probably won't get this, but that doesn't stop me from lusting after it!

Britney Spears Island Fantasy 50ml and 100ml: available from April - The newest release from Britney. I'm not a fan, but I think her perfumes are so lovely and afforable, and this bottle looks gorgeous!

Maybelline Color Tattoos: £4.99 via Boots and Superdrug - I love the Colour Tattoos, I want them all. I've got my eye on the new black shade and some of the US exclusives like Pomegranate Punk!

MAC | Archies Girls Haul

Although I said I wouldn't, when push came to shove I just couldn't resist the MAC Archie's Girls collection. I could easily have bought more, but I kept my haulin' down to just two items!

MAC Archie's Girls Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in Designer Purple: £15.50
MAC Archies Girls Lipstick in Daddy's Little Girl: £15.50

The Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in Designer Purple is part of the MAC permanent collection, but in this super cute Archie's Girls packaging I just couldn't resist. I've wanted it for ages, and limited edition packaging pushed me over the edge.

Designer Purple is a metallic purple liner with pink and purple glitter. Its absolutely gorgeous and my swatch really doesn't do it justice.

Its a vibrant purple, and goes on really smoothly. I'd compare it to the Rimmel ScandalEyes liners and the Avon Supershock Gel liners in terms of the texture. I'd definitely buy more of these from the permanent collection.

Next up is the lipstick in Daddy's Little Girl. This is really the only lipstick that caught my eye from the collection, as I don't own any pink lipsticks like it.

Its a vibrant purple pink, not fuschia like Girl About Town. I'm sure MAC already have lots of similar pinks in their permanent collection but this is the first I've tried.

Daddy's Little Girl (the name is a bit creepy!) is a satin finish, and it applies opaque. I really love it and think I'll get a lot of wear out of it, especially in summer.

Archie's Girls is available now from the MAC website.

2. Loreal' Nude CC Cream: £9.99 from Superdrug and Boots - Soon to be released these new CC creams from Loreal' come in three different varieties, targeting redness, dullness and fatigue. I'm coveting the anti-redness version.

3. MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pots: £14.50 from MAC - I'm a big fan of MAC paint pots and Maybelline colour tattoos, so when MAC released several colours in their paint pot range I knew I'd have to get my hands on some in the future.

4. NARS Sheer Matte Foundation: £28.00 from NARS -  My foundation stash is running low so next on my list to try is NARS Sheer Matte.

5. Real Techniques Core Collection: £21.99 from Boots - | love Real Techniques brushes, thats no secret. I have a few of their single brushes but I'd like to try their core collection next.

Top 5 | Lip Products

Top 5 | Lip Products

1. MAC Lipsticks - Mac Lipsticks are my all time favourite lip products. They have a great range of colours and finishes and are a must have in any girls make up collection.

2. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains - High street dupes of the Clinique Chubby sticks, these balm stains are great for when you need colour, longevity and moisture.

3. Kate Moss For Rimmel Lipsticks - Fantastic high street lipsticks, the finishes are great and theres a good colour selection! There are usually a few releases of new colours over the seasons.

4. Revlon Lip Butters - The packaging is to die for, the colours are gorgeous and really moisturising.

5. The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm - In a range of flavours, these all smell fantastic, really soothe chapped lips and some of the darker colours add a nice tint to the lips!

YSL Glossy Stain | No.30

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I hope you all have a lovely day if you have someone to share it with, and if not, enjoy yourselves anyway! I finally dipped my toe into the YSL pool, and here's what I came out with:

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in No.30 Mauve Fusain: £22.50 via Debenhams
Shade 30 is one of the newest additions to the Glossy Stain family, a gorgeous bright mauve pinky purple!

It does look scary in the tube. Really really purple! But once on the lips its a bit more wearable, and I love it. I can't pull off a full on purple, but this I can get away with!

The formula of these glosses is unlike any product I've seen before, they're almost jelly like in texture. You apply several layers, letting each one dry before applying the next one. You can build up the colour and intensity to a pretty opaque colour.

They apply really easily and the staying power is incredible! The gloss lasts through quite a lot, and although it disappears when eating and drinking, the stain remains long after.

These glosses come in a wide range of colours, and I think I'll be trying more of these in the future! Well done YSL!

Urban Decay | The Glinda Palette

I just couldn't resist this palette from Urban Decay. I was so excited about the release of the Oz The Great and Powerful palettes and decided to order The Glinda Palette, as it was something a little different. As beautiful as the Theodora palette was, I already own umpteen neutral palettes!

Urban Decay Oz The Great And Powerful, The Glinda Palette: £35.00 via Debenhams

Firstly, let me talk about how good value for money this palette is. You get six full sized Urban Decay shadows (two are duos), a mini 24/7 glide on eyeliner in Rockstar, and a full sized super saturated lip colour in Glinda. That's over £100.00 worth of products, for £35.00. Bargain!

The packaging is also another plus. Its absolutely beautiful, like a glittery cloud. The case is made of the same tin as the Naked 2 palette and the Build Your Own palettes. And guess what? It is a build your own palette, as the eyeshadows inside are removable and can be replaced!

The six shades in the palette are all very girly (to reflect the good witch Glinda, of course!), and are all up to the usual Urban Decay high quality.

There's Tornado - a dark purple with shimmer.
Aura - a white duo shade with one side blue iridescent and the other pink iridescent.
Magic - a pinky purple shade with gold shimmer.
Illusion - a pale peach with shimmer.
OZ - The second duo, metallic gold and metallic silver both with that pesky UD chunky glitter!
South - A taupe/grey with shimmer and fine glitter.

The Super Saturated lip pencil in Glinda is a lovely pinky nude with an almost metallic finish, I really love it! I'm tempted to try more of these pencils from Urban Decay now.

I should have swatched this and the Rockstar liner, I'll add a pic in at a later date.

The palette also comes with a 'get the look' card. All in all this is a great set, a real hit for Urban Decay. It feels like they've really taken their time with the Oz palettes, they don't feel rushed like some other releases. They seem to have pushed the boat out here, as its such good value for money! Plus you can refill with similar shades when you run out of one!

Urban Decay gets a 9 out of 10, just get rid of that chunky glitter!

Bioderma | Sebium H20

I'd like to start by apologising for my absence this week, I've started back at Uni and just haven't found the time/energy for blogging. But I'm back! I'm sure you've all heard of Bioderma, but heres my take on it!

Bioderma Sebium H20 100ml: £4.49 via Ebay (available from UK pharmacies from next month) - I've wanted to try Bioderma for a long time, and finally picked up this mini bottle from Ebay. Previously only available in France or online, I'm pleased to say you'll be able to buy it in UK shops from next month! I chose the Sebium H20 version over the original formula, as its designed for combination/oily skin.

This Micellar cleansing water has been gaining popularity amongst the beauty community for a while now, and is considered a holy grail product by many! I wouldn't drop the HG bomb myself, but I definitely enjoy using this.

I use it to take my make up off before cleansing, or in the morning to refresh my skin. Two cotton pads with a little solution on are enough to take all my make up off, which is brilliant! It doesn't sting my eyes either, and it certainly isn't greasy like other make up removers. On clean skin, it acts as a toner and removes any excess oil on my face.

Overall I do really like this. I wasn't going to repurchase due to shipping, but now its going to be available in the UK I definitely will! Thumbs up!

Shopping The Stash | #2

I missed last week, but here's my second Shopping The Stash post! Its quite a small one as I've been using a lot of new products recently, but I thought I'd show you what I've been using from my collection:

Models Own Gloss in Berry Nice: £4.99 from Models Own and Boots - This berry gloss is lovely for adding a bit of colour to your lips. It's quite sheer, not sticky and has a tropical scent!

Smooch Cosmetics Blush in Kookie Crumble: £3.99 from www.smoochcosmeticsuk.com - This bronzer/blush is great for defining my (chubby) cheeks. I pick this up when I just don't know what to put on my face.

Rimmel Wake Me Up! Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch in Shimmering Sand - £4.99 from Boots and Superdrug - I bought this shortly after it came out, and I've really neglected it. Its very very glittery, and in all honesty not my favourite highlighter, but I do like it and want to use it up!

That's it for my stash this week!

Cosmetics Fairy | Introduction & Review

Hey everyone! I'm going to talk to you today about a website called www.cosmeticsfairy.co.uk. They were kind enough to get in touch with me and send me some products to review. Firstly, I'll tell you a little more about the brand:

Cosmetics Fairy are an online discount cosmetics store, there are a few similar sites that are popular with the beauty blogging community. They stock a range of brands, from high street to high end, and even some American brands!

The site has some fantastic deals, including 3for2 on some of their products and a 99p range. They also have a points system (think Boots advantage card!), where you can collect 4 fairy points per pound you spend on the site. I have my eye on this gorgeous Givenchy Prismissime which is only £14.99 and is part of their 3for2 range!

Also, Cosmetics Fairy are offering a further 10% off all orders until the 28th of February with the code FAIRY10, so many offers all at once!

Essie Nail Varnish in Berry Naughty: £4.49*
Benefit Silk Powder Eyeshadow in Shallow: £3.99*
Wet n' Wild Mega Plump Mascara: £1.75*

*These products were sent to me for the purpose of review.

First up I received this Wet n' Wild Mega Plump mascara. Wet n' Wild are a US brand so I was really pleased to see this in my package! I've used this a few times and its a lovely everyday mascara that I would say does add volume to lashes.

Next is this Benefit Silky Powder Eyeshadow in the shade Shallow. I own a few of these already and love the quality! Shallow is a really peachy shade, I can't decide whether or not I'll use this as an eyeshadow, but it would make an excellent blush, not bad for £3.99!

Finally I recieved this Essie polish in Berry Naughty! I love Essie nail varnishes, and this dark burgundy/berry shade won't go unused, its a colour I wear a lot on my nails during autumn/winter! Plus Cosmetics Fairy sell them at nearly half the price of Boots!

I'm really impressed with Cosmetics Fairy! I'd say if you're after a bargain definitely check them out!
