MAC Lipstick in Mehr

MAC Lipstick in Mehr: £15.00 from maccosmetics.co.uk -

I was lucky enough to win another MAC lipstick giveaway (I am so so lucky and grateful!), this time from the lovely Becky over at Beckawoo! I only had one lipstick I really wanted on my wishlist: Mehr.

Mehr is a medium neutral pink and is a matte finish, my favourite! It looks a little lighter in the photo above than in real life, but as you'll see it really is the perfect neutral pink. It's creamy and not too drying, the usual story with MAC matte lipsticks.

I've really struggled with light pink lipsticks over the years, anything too baby pink totally washes me out. On me, Mehr is a complete MLBB (my lips but better) shade. I'll include a FOTD with it on soon.

I absolutely adore this colour, it's the perfect everyday shade and I can see myself buying this again and again! Definitely check Mehr out if you're looking for pink lips that aren't too pale!

Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils | Review & Swatches

Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils in Vanilla Sky & Hot Chocolate: £2.50 each (normally £3.19) from Boots and Superdrug -

Firstly I want to apologise for the lack of posts recently! It was my birthday two weeks ago, and then last week I was on holiday! But normal service will resume. Whilst on holiday I picked up these Collection Work The Colour pencils from Boots. They were £2.50 each, an absolute bargain. I've been testing them out ever since and I've got to say I'm really pleased!

I don't normally go for cream eyeshadows, but these fared really well! They won't stick around all day, nothing does, but their lasting time was really impressive. They apply really creamy, but once they dry they do not budge. Seriously, I had the hardest time getting those swatches off my hand and on my eyes they needed a good wipe too. The colours are gorgeous too. Vanilla Sky is quite comparable to MAC's Bare Study Paint Pot, and Hot Chocolate is very similar to the MAC eyeshadow in Satin Taupe! I think there are 4 other colours available; a baby pink, charcoal grey, navy blue and a black.

The thing I like most about these are that they're easy. Just pop them on the lid, blend them out a bit and you're good to go! Hot Chocolate is perfect on its own and Vanilla Sky is lovely with a bit of brown shadow in the crease. I really like these and recommend trying them!

The Skin Regime | 1-4-All Peel & Giveaway

The Skin Regime 1-4-All Peel

As some as you will already know, I've previously reviewed The Skin Regime 'Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin' book by Dana Ramos. Well, Dana has now released her own 1-4-All Peel. The peel is unique as it is layerable - the more you put on, the more intense the peel is!

The Skin Regime say: "Doing peels at home is remarkably quick, easy and effective. But just like do-it-yourself manicures, hair colour or teeth whitening, following instructions is key to a good result. The Skin Regime 1-4-All Peel can transform your skin by minimising fine lines, healing mild acne and fading brown spots that acne leaves behind, creating even skin tone and texture, fading skin discolouration, reducing large pores, reversing sun damage and creating glowing, radiant skin".

I've used the peel 3 times now and I've got to say I'm very impressed! It does sting a bit, but thats to be expected with any decent facial peel! It leaves my skin so smooth and soft immediately afterwards, and I have definitely seen an improvement with my skin overall, my dark marks are beginning to fade, and with continued use should hopefully disappear altogether! My pores also look smaller, hooray!

Dana has been kind enough to offer yet another prize for one of my followers! You can win a copy of The Skin Regime: Boot Camp for Beautiful Skin and a sample of the 1-4-All Peel! You can enter via the Rafflecopter giveaway below:

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick | Rapture

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Rapture: £15.00 -

I had £5.00 of rewards due to expire on my Debenhams card, so when I spotted the new Revolution Lipsticks from Urban Decay, I knew I'd be taking one home with me! I picked the shade Rapture, which is a nudey, pinky purple mauve colour! It's so hard to describe, but it's gorgeous. I'll call it a wearable purple!

It's gorgeous anyway. And it has the best lipstick formula I have ever come across, ever. That's a pretty bold statement, but it's 100% true. I have never owned such a creamy, opaque lipstick that has great lasting power and is still moisturising! It's impressive. The colour range is really good as well, I believe there are 24 brand new shades. The packaging is also pretty stunning, classic UD gunmetal and  metallic purple.

The only downside for me is that for £15.00, I would probably rather buy a MAC lipstick that I can Back2MAC for a free one. So, I won't be buying the full range of these, but one or two colours have definitely caught my eye! These get a 10\10 for formula and packaging though!

Boots Haul | Real Techniques & Maybelline

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 125: £7.99
Maybelline Fit Me Anti-Shine Stick in 130: £8.99
Maybelline Fit Me Powder in 125: £5.99

Maybelline was on 3 for 2, who can say no to that? I picked up the Fit Me foundation in the shade 125, I've been using a sample in 135 which was a bit dark for me, so 125 is perfect! I really really wanted to try the anti-shine stick, so picked it up in the shade 130, which is a tiny bit too dark but Boots had a rubbish shade range! I have a bit of a summer tan just now so its fine. Finally I picked up the powder in 125, as I don't have any 'travel friendly' powders for popping in my bag. It comes with a powder puff which is handy too!

Real Techniques Your Eyes/Enhanced Starter Set: £21.99 (£11.99)
Real Techniques Duo Fiber Collection: £23.99

Real Techniques were on a buy one get one half price offer so I picked up the two sets I've had my eye on for a while. The eye collection contains some brushes I'll use for sure, and others I might not. So far, I've used the brow brush, which I really like, and the base shadow brush and the deluxe crease brush. The deluxe crease brush is a bit big for detailed crease work, but for blending out an over defined crease it could work! I haven't tried any of the duo fiber brushes yet, but I'm sure they'll be up to the usual RT standard!

I don't normally blow this much in one go at Boots, but it was my birthday! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Wednesday Wishlist | 21st Birthday Edition

Wednesday Wishlist | 21st Birthday Edition

My 21st birthday is on Monday, and I'm so so excited! It's going to be my last big birthday for a long time and I'm going to celebrate in style! I'm spending time with my family this Saturday, then heading out with my friends the next weekend! I'm a very lucky girl and I know I'm getting some incredibly generous presents, but I thought I'd make a wee wish list of some of the products I would love to receive/buy with any birthday money I'm lucky to get!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars: £12.00 each - I've lusted after the OCC lip tars for a long time. They have some incredible shades that you can mix together to create your own unique colours!
NARS Fairy's Kiss Palette: £32.00 - There is no way in hell I'm going to get this, as my lovely parents are helping me to build a large MAC Pro Palette. But I think the colours in this Limited Edition palette from NARS are just stunning, and so up my street.
Soap & Glory Products - Every birthday and Christmas since the brand appeared, I have been given Soap & Glory products. The pink retro packaging is so me, and their products are fantastic and smell so yummy. The quality you get for such a reasonable price is brilliant.
Real Techniques Eye Collection: £21.99 - I've been needing new eye brushes for quite a while now, and this set from Real Techniques would be a fantastic addition to my beauty tools.
Vera Wang Lovestruck Flower Rush - Isn't the bottle amazing? And the perfume smells pretty good too! This floral fragrance is really wearable and I can just see the incredible bottle sitting  pride of place on my shelf.

I am considering doing a 'birthday haul' again this year, although I know they can be controversial! Let me know if you would like to see one? Thanks!

MUA One Direction Range | Coral Cutie Cheek Tint & Moments Lipstick

MUA One Direction 'What Makes You Beautiful' Cheek Tint in Coral Cutie: £3.00
MUA One Direction 'Kiss You' Lipstick in Moments (Niall): £3.00

Let me start off by saying I'm not a One Direction fan. Not one bit (apart from the fact Harry looks like a young Mick Jagger, yum). But I'd heard/seen so many good things about this range from MUA that I had to try a couple of products!

The lipstick in Moments is a lovely pale pink with shimmer. Normally, I don't get on with pale pinks as they wash me out completely. However moments is just neutral enough that it suits me and it's a lovely everyday shade! The only similar colour I've owned is Sweetie by MAC.

And normally I don't get on with cream blush either! But Coral Cutie is so pigmented and lasts for about 3/4 hours before fading, but would last longer set with powder. It applies beautifully and blends nicely (I used a Real Techniques buffing brush).

As you can see, both products are incredibly pigmented! Coral Cutie is just a gorgeous pastel peach shade, and as previously mentioned Moments is a neutral baby pink that doesn't lean blue or red, but definitely has some peachy undertones.

Although I'm not a 1D fan I'd definitely recommend these products and I plan on buying another cheek tint in the shade Rose Riot. They're up to MUA's usual high standard and bargain prices, and the packaging is cute!

Shopping The Stash | #4

I haven't done a shopping the stash Sunday post for months, bad blogger! But I decided it was time to start doing them again, so here are the products I've been using a lot this week:

MAC Eyeshadows Quad; Naked Lunch, Satin Taupe, Copperplate and Blackberry: I've been picking up my MAC quad a lot this week, especially Satin Taupe as it just makes for such an easy eye look. I've been wearing it with Copperplate in the crease and Naked Lunch as a brow bone/inner corner highlight. Blackberry is also lovely as a crease colour with Satin Taupe on the lid.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium: The hot weather has made me abandon foundation most days, but when I need a little coverage my MSF Natural does the job! I thought I'd never stray from my beloved Rimmel Stay Matte powder, but it just doesn't give the same coverage.
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter: This highlighter is just stunning. I don't even know how to describe it! It's a metallic pink? Which sounds weird but it's just gorgeous on the top on the cheekbones and down the nose! It's definitely not a 'natural' looking highlighter but for nights out, ooh it's lovely.
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liners in Nude and Taupe: I was neglecting these for a while but I think they'll forever be my favourites. I use the nude on the waterline to open up my eyes, and the taupe on my lower lash line for a bit of definition. They're great and only £3.99!
