My birthday might have been several months ago, but this week I met up with a good friend I hadn't seen in a while and she gave me a MAC gift voucher! So so chuffed, and I've already gone out and spent it, naughty!
I indulged in something I might not have been able to afford without my lovely friend's help, 4 eyeshadows and a quad to put them in:
MAC Eyeshadow Pro Pan Refills: £10 each in Naked Lunch, Satin Taupe, Copperplate and Blackberry.
The eyeshadows are £2 cheaper in pan form than in their little pots, and are much easier to pop into palettes!
MAC Eyeshadow Pro Palette x4: £6.50
The new design palettes are really nice and sleek. I'm really excited to build on my collection and possibly buy the bigger palettes one day!
Naked Lunch: A beautiful shimmery champagne.
Satin Taupe: One of MAC's most popular colour, a lovely brown/taupe with silver shimmer.
Copperplate: A matte taupe/grey. Can't wait to try this out!
Blackberry: A matte browny purple, I wasn't planning on buying this but I'm glad I did!
I should have done swatches, but I haven't. Oops! If my MAC shadow collection grows no doubt I'll do another post with swatches. These eyeshadows are such fantastic quality I don't doubt I'll buy more, but I really need to use some more up first! I own wayyyy too many palettes!

Lush Halloween | Calacas Shower Jelly
Hello everyone! Sorry for the little absence, as usual, life catches up and I just forgot to blog!
With Halloween fast approaching Lush finally got their Halloween stuff in. Not as much as last year, which I was really dissapointed by, so I only picked up one thing:
Calacas is a spooky slime green shower jelly, that smells of limes. Its not too zesty and sharp, but its not too sweet either, a nice inbetween!

Calacas Shower Jelly - £3.25 from Lush

Its supposed to have a spooky skull face in the jelly, but as you can see mines has gone a bit droopy!
Lush shower jellies are really nice to use, a cross between a soap and a shower gel they're so wobbly and fun! Lush only have two jellies in their permenant range, Sweetie Pie and Whoosh, so it was exciting to have a different fragrance to use. If you love Lush but don't own a bath like me, only showers, this is definitely worth trying since you miss out on all the lovely bath stuff!
Until next time, bye bye! :) xx

MUA Undressed Palette
I'm sure everyone has seen this palette already, but its the 'Undressed' palette from MUA, the famous dupe for Urban Decay's original Naked palette!
MUA Undressed Palette - £4 from Superdrug (currently on offer for £3).
This really is a good dupe for the Naked palette, the colours are really similar, and the quality of the shadows are great. I never really fancied the Naked palette, the colours didn't tempt me enough to shell out £36. For £3 I get all the different looks I could create from the Naked palette without the price tag.
Compared to MUA's other neutral palette 'Heaven and Earth', this one comes out on top. I've actually thrown out most of my Heaven and Earth palette and depotted the rest to use up (I hate waste, but sometimes you just have to get rid of stuff if you're not using it and you can't sell it!).
I really suggest going out and buying this palette if you're a lover of neutral eyeshadows. You can create anything from a soft daytime look to a full on smokey eye for evening.
Bye for now! :) xx

Lush Haul
Hello everyone! Us beauty bloggers love a trip to Lush, especially around Christmas time. I picked up a few things on two trips to Lush. I don't often get to Lush so to be near one two times in one week, well, I couldn't resist!
Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel 250g: £6.50 - I love Snow Fairy. And so do lots of other people, which is why its so popular when it comes out every Christmas. With new girly packaging, it really stands out. I don't normally enjoy sickly sweet scents, but Snow Fairy is different. Its a gorgeous creamy candy scent, it smells a bit like pear drops!
Sweet Soap Of Mine Set: £6.25 - This is a duo of two of Lush's soaps from their permanent line, Rock Star and The Godmother. They come pre packaged together, which is handy if you don't want to go about the fuss of picking and cutting soaps to the right size/price. Rock Star is a lovely sweet scent, I don't know how to describe it, and The Godmother smells just like Snow Fairy!
Fun in Green: £5.00 - This is the newest product from Lush, a multi purpose shower/bath/hair/clothes wash that is also fun, because its mouldable like playdo. It comes in five colours and scents, green, yellow, blue, red and pink. The green one smells like lemon and lime. I tested this out in the shower today, and to be honest, I'm not all that I'm impressed. It smells nice, but it doesn't really lather up very well. Its a bit of a novelty to be honest, and I doubt I'll buy it again! But for kids and those who want a reminder of childhood it might prove more, well... fun!
Thats all for now, bye! :) xx

Fashionista Custom Design Blush Palette
For months and months, I passed by the Fashionista stands in Superdrug, uninterested in what they had to offer. Finally, earlier this week me and my friend were browsing when we stopped to have a look at the Fashionista stuff.
I was pleasantly surprised to see lots of pretty blushes, and a neat little palette to pop them in. Even better when I seen the offer for 4 blushes or eyeshadows, and a palette, for only £10! Normally the induvidual shadows/blushes retail for £4 each, and the palettes are £5. What a bargain!
So I decided to pick up two blushes, a bronzer and a highlighter shade, perfect for travelling!
The blushes originally came in these little cases, but they easily pop out and into the palette! If you didn't want to go for a whole palette, the induvidual cases are really nice and sturdy.

Fashionista sell two different quad palettes, red and black. I chose the red because it was really different to other palettes I own and will stand out!
A great part of the palette is that you can see the shade names on the back! I got four shades:
New York: A shimmer baby pink with dark pink veining.
Barcelona: A champagne shimmer with veining - perfect for highlighting!
Cinnamon: A dusky matte rose.
Paris: A matte bronzer.
Without flash, l-r clockwise from top: New York, Barcelona, Paris, Cinnamon

I am so so in love with this palette! Its sleek and pretty, and the blushes/bronzers have good pigmentation. I've created it with travel in mind, but no doubt I'll be using it all the time. I fully intend to go back for more! xx

Free With InStyle: Benefit Deluxe Minis
The blogging world has been swamped with posts about these freebies, but heres my take:
This month InStyle Magazine are giving away Benefit deluxe samples with their November issue. There are three mini's, the classic Benetint, their Sunbeam highlighter and the mango tinted Cha Cha Tint. I've never gotten along with Benetint, so I picked up Sunbeam and Cha Cha Tint.

Cha Cha Tint is a gorgeous orangey/mango coloured lip and cheek tint. I really do like it and I think it'll be great for summertime next year. Sunbeam is beautiful, a really glittery gold highlighter.
I probably would never have picked these up full size and full price from Benefit, so getting these two 4ml samples for less than a tenner was brilliant!
InStyle magazine is available from most supermarkets/local shops for £3.80, and is on offer in Tesco for £2.50! So, grab them while you can before horrible people start ripping them out and nicking them!

Top 5 Autumn Blush Picks
Hello all! Today I'm going to show you my top 5 blush picks for autumn:
Dallas by Benefit: £23.50
This is a gorgeous bronzey brown with plum undertones and shimmer. Its the plum undertone that makes it a perfect blush for autumn.
The Perfect Cheek by MAC: £19.00
This is a new addition to my blush collection, but I can already tell its going to be a favourite this season. Its a pinky nude that gives a really natural flush to the face. Perfect for wearing with bold lips and eyes.
Briar Rose by MAC:
This was part of the Venomous Villains collection, so sadly is no longer available. But I had to pick it. The purple pink colour is really great for autumn.
Kookie Crumble by Smooch: £3.99
Very similar to Dallas, but without the plum tones. Again, its a really natural blush with a subtle shimmer.

Yet again, another natural nude! But this time its a cream blush. It gives a really subtle glow with a dewy finish.
Thats my top 5 autumn blush picks! I wish I had some darker more dramatics shades for you, but who knows, I may do a 'top 5 winter blush picks'! Bye for now :) xx
MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection Haul
Its finally here! The long awaited MAC Marilyn Monroe collection has finally arrived in the UK, and me being me snapped it up on the first day it was on the website. I ordered it on Monday, and it arrived on Wednesday.
I was surprised to find the collection was priced slightly higher than normal, but it was only by a few pounds so it wasn't the end of the world!
I was surprised to find the collection was priced slightly higher than normal, but it was only by a few pounds so it wasn't the end of the world!
I got for things, two lipsticks, a blush and a beauty powder!
The packaging is gorgeous, I wasn't overwhelmed by it when I seen the promo photos, but in the flesh its really lovely, shiny, sleek and very Marilyn.
MAC Marilyn Monroe Blush in The Perfect Cheek: £19.00
I never planned on buying any blush from this collection, but as swatches started coming through from America, I started falling in love with The Perfect Cheek! Its a pinky nude, and comes off very natural. It takes a few applications to build up the colour, but I really do like it.
MAC Marilyn Monroe Beauty Powder in Forever Marilyn: £23.50
This is a peachy beauty powder with a very slight shimmer, so essentially a highlighter. Its different from all my other highlighters because its more about the pale colour and less about the shimmer/glitter. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with skin any darker than an NC/NW25 from MAC, I'm an NW20 and a tiny bit on my cheekbones shows up. But if your a pale girl, definitely give it a go!
MAC Marilyn Monroe Lipsticks in Love Goddess and Charmed I'm Sure: £14.00 each.
In the photo, these look so similar, but on the lips they're two completely different animals. Love Goddess is a bright pink/red satin finish that is almost magenta, whereas Charmed I'm Sure is a true matte red. They're both really pigmented.
Overall I'm really happy with what I got from the collection, I could have bought more, but in all honesty I don't need anything else so I'm going to try and leave it alone! Did you get anything from the Marilyn Monroe collection? Or are you planning to? Let me know! Bye for now xx
